Trenchless sewer and drain line repair and replacement

Old clay, cast iron, asbestos and concrete sewer line are slowly failing. The main cause of failure is due to root intrusions caused by bad water seals on the joints. Other factors include deterioration of the pipe causing a collapsed pipe. There are several ways to solve your pipe problems, we suggest either an open trench method or pipe bursting. The open trench method is simply digging a trench between point A (typically the exit point of the building) to point B (the main sewer line or the point where the pipe is in good condition). Trenchless pipe replacement is the process of running a cable from point A to point B and then using a hydraulic pulling unit to pull back a continuous length of high density polyethlene pipe. Trenchless pipe replacement is the preferred method if high value landscaping, retaining walls, steep inclines or other obstacles exist that would make the open trench method a very destructive process. Atlantis Plumbing offers trenchless replacement as an option to conventional open trench method. The cost of trenchless pipe replacement can be more or less expensive than the open trench method, depending on the situation. We typically begin investigating sewer line replacement by doing a pipe camera inspection. The camera is inserted through a cleanout or through a toilet. The camera allows to us to check for sharp offsets, sections of pipe with no slope and other other problems which would make the replacement process more difficult. If you are having a problem with your sewer or you know yourline is in need of replacement, give us a call for a free consultation.
